The European Union has decided to finance Radio Liberty.

Axar.az reports that EU official Kaja Kallas said this at a press conference.

Kallas noted that the EU will allocate 5.5 million euros from the budget to support Radio Liberty's broadcasting in neighboring regions, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.

"This is short-term funding, now EU countries must find an agreement among themselves on long-term funding," Kallas added.
