Araghchi emphasized today in a press briefing that uranium enrichment in Iran will continue, with or without an agreement.

Axar.az reports that, according to Fars News Agency, Iran’s FM Abbas Araghchi said Tehran is still considering whether to participate in the next round of nuclear talks.

“We stand firm against excessive demands at the negotiating table, but we have never abandoned diplomacy,” he stated.

Iran has expressed conditional openness to further nuclear negotiations. Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran is willing to ensure transparency regarding its nuclear program, but only if sanctions—imposed over what Iran considers unproven nuclear claims—are lifted.

He emphasized that Iran would not accept any attempt to restrict its legitimate rights under international frameworks, such as uranium enrichment.
