Armenia and Slovakia ready to boost ties in defense industry

Armenia and Slovakia are ready to deepen cooperation in several areas, such as nuclear energy and defense industry, PM Nikol Pashinyan said after his meeting with Slovakia’s PM Robert Fico.

Axar.az reports Pashinyan said he agreed with Fico to focus on key directions, including political dialogue, Armenia-EU ties, energy, nuclear energy and military industry.

“There’s very broad agenda in direction of cooperation in energy, especially nuclear energy. We also discussed opportunities of cooperation in the military industry area, where we also see certain prospects. I hope and I am sure that we will have concrete agendas and projects in all mentioned directions as a result of this visit,” Pashinyan said.

He said the business delegation accompanying PM Fico can also boost the bilateral economic cooperation.

Pashinyan said the 2026 European Political Community summit in Armenia will become an important milestone in terms of deepening cooperation with European partners.

Pashinyan said he had personally requested Fico’s support, among others, to host the summit. He said he highly appreciates the support.

Recall that the Prime Minister of Slovakia arrived in Armenia today to participate in the international "Yerevan Dialogue" forum.
