Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) chief commander, Major General Mohammad Pakpour, has warned the United States that any renewed aggression against Iran would prompt the Islamic Republic to teach Washington a "historic lesson."
Axar.az infoms according Iranian media, Major General Pakpour made the remarks in a message issued early Tuesday after the Iranian armed forces launched a missile barrage against the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar that serves as the forward headquarters for US Central Command (CENTCOM).
The response was described by the forces as a powerful and devastating strike against the outpost that also functions as the forward headquarters of the US Air Force Central Command (AFCENT).
Pakpour described the targets hit during the retaliatory operation as CENTCOM's "beating heart in the West Asia region," noting that the key American strategic base had sustained damage despite multiple heavy layers of protection.
The IRGC commander described US President Donald Trump as "foolish and ignorant" for ordering the attacks against the Islamic Republic that warranted such retaliation.
