Light aircraft crash in Turkiye leaves one dead

Pilot Mehmet Demirci died in a light aircraft crash between the Turkish cities of Erzurum and Rize.

Axar.az, citing Turkish media, reports that two people initially reported missing were later found by rescue teams. The pilot was confirmed dead, while the passenger survived.

Although the crash happened around 6:18 p.m. local time yesterday, the wreckage wasn’t located until about 6:24 a.m. this morning.
