Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that he will personally lead the "liberation" of the Armenian Church.

Axar.az reports Pashinyan wrote on social media that "Beyond all the debates, the most important thing has become clear during this time: the complete absence of any connection or relation between Jesus Christ, His teachings, and individuals like Kutrich Nersisyan, Vazgen Galstanyan, Gevorg Ajapahyan, and others.

The house of Jesus Christ—the site of the Lord’s descent—has been seized by an anti-Christian, immoral, anti-national, and anti-state group, and it must be liberated.

I will lead this liberation".

Note that earlier, security forces in Armenia detained two bishops who are accused of attempting to seize power.
