The presence of the American military in Ukraine has brought the US and Russia to the brink of a hot phase of the war.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by American economist Jeffrey Sachs, director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University (New York).

“We are in a hot phase of war with Russia because it is not only about money (the aid the US has allocated to Ukraine), equipment, objectives, strategy, and advice, but also because our personnel are on the ground. They are not always wearing American uniforms. Sometimes they are called mercenaries, and sometimes they are simply unrecognized. But they give orders, and Russia knows this,” the professor said.
