Capital penalty of Azerbaijani billionaire is cancelled

Higher Court of Iran has cancelled the death penalty of billionaire Babak Zancani.

Axar.az reports that, Iranian Students' News Agency has published info the citable source about it.

On March 7, Iran court has decided execution for Babak Zancani. Zancani was accused of obtaining Iran oil and laundering the money. Rza Zarrab from South Azerbaijan (currently in prison in US) is considered his main ally in Turkey.

Recently officials announced that, death penalty could be cancelled if Zancani would pay his 2.8 milliard debt to the country.
