Walt Disney has elected a woman to become its chairman for the first time in the entertainment giant’s 98-year history.

Axar.az reports that Susan Arnold, a 14-year Disney board member, will succeed Bob Iger at the end of this year.

She previously worked as an executive at the global investment firm Carlyle.

Mr Iger, who stepped down as CEO of Disney in 2020 after 15 years in the position, will leave the company by the end of this month.
