Filming of the series “It’s Hard to Be a God,” which was being shot in Iran, is not expected to resume any time soon.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Teymur Jafarov, producer at the Team Films studio.
He said that decisions regarding the continuation of filming would be made later:
“At this moment, it’s too early to talk about resuming filming in Iran — military operations are still ongoing in the country. The decision about how, when, and where to continue filming will be made by the producer team in Moscow.”
According to him, the evacuation of the film crew from Iran was carried out under emergency procedures.
“After the night shift ended, we heard explosions and the team realized it was unsafe to remain there. We quickly prepared to leave the area.”
Teymur Jafarov also expressed deep gratitude for the exceptional support shown during the emergency evacuation to:
Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation
Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Russian Embassy and Consulate in Tehran
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev
National Media Group and NTV’s leadership
“Within just a few hours, we managed to gather 90 people. The Azerbaijani side provided us with full support, including opening the land border which had previously been closed.”
