Russian drone hits SBU headquarters in Kyiv - Video

A Russian drone struck the headquarters of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) in central Kyiv, Ukraine, on Friday, injuring at least seven people.

Axar.az reports, citing Kyiv Independent, that the attack occurred at around 3:30 p.m. local time after an air raid alert was issued in the capital. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the strike damaged a non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said the drone was targeting the office of SBU acting head Oleksandr Poklad.

“I gave Poklad the task of responding to this Russian attack in an appropriate, significant, and — if possible — symmetrical manner once everything is ready,” Zelensky said.

Six of the seven injured people had been hospitalized, according to Klitschko. The attack also damaged the nearby Zavertailo restaurant, where one guest was injured and hospitalized.

The strike came as Kyiv faced its ninth consecutive day of Russian attacks.
