Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has held a phone call with Kazakhstan's newly appointed Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi.

Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said Bayramov sincerely congratulated Tleuberdi on his appointment and wished him success.

The ministers discussed the current agenda of strategic relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, the state of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and prospects for developing ties in areas of mutual interest.

Bayramov expressed satisfaction that Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations are developing dynamically based on friendship, brotherhood, mutual trust and solidarity. The sides emphasized the importance of further expanding bilateral ties across all areas and enriching them with new content.

The officials also lauded effective cooperation and mutual support between the two countries within international and regional organizations. They stressed the importance of continuing coordination and interaction on multilateral platforms.

The ministers also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
