A total of 22 ISIS-linked terror suspects were arrested in northwestern Turkey, said the governorship on Tuesday.

Twenty-two suspects were arrested in simultaneous operations in nine districts of Istanbul and Kocaeli provinces.

According to the Istanbul Governorship, they were holding meetings to propagate their ideas and recruit members to fight in Syria.

A total of 408 ISIS suspects were remanded in custody while some 3,000 others were arrested for their alleged links to the terror group across Turkey in 2018.
