Laura Dosworth interviewed 100 men after taking a photo of their penises.

Axar.az reports citing Indy100.

So, not quite your average project.

Her book, Manhood: The Bare Reality, features men of all walks of life and ages talking about their penis, and how it’s impacted their lives, their confidence and their relationships. She talked to men who think their penis is too small, who survived testicular cancer, and who have erectile dysfunction.

It features the man who calls his penis Rufus, and describes it as a “barometer of my healthy, my happiness and my fitness”, and the man who quit masturbating after it was affecting his sex life.

She told the Guardian that this was the main thing she took away from the experience:

A lot more men feel a sense of shame or anxiety about their size, or an aspect of their performance, than I would have thought. What really moved me is how much that shame and inadequacy had bled into different parts of their life.

Dodsworth also learnt a thing or two while she was on the project. She discovered manscaping for the first time, which is where men trim their pubic hair.

The more you know eh?
