Everybody needs to be very careful with the Khashoggi affair.

Analyst on the Middle East and Senior Advisor at Gulf State Analytics Dr. Theodore Karasik said a statement to Axar.az about the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Consulate General in Istanbul. According to him, the disappearance of the Arab journalist is a very sensitive issue, and so many people can be emotional:

There are many uncollaborated materials especially any true physical forensic evidence. Whatever the outcome a fuse has been ignited in Congress regarding this event and implementing the Magnitsky Act means that there are possible sanctions to be implemented on individuals in the Kingdom. The key question is whether the momentum carries through the midterm elections and into the New Year. There are many unknowns at this juncture but in the worst case scenario the US Saudi political relationship will be tested but the military-to-military relationship is to remain the same.
