The First Vice President of Azerbaijan touched upon a very important issue and this is a very serious recommendation, a serious message to officials. Of course, the press service of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department could put an end to the conversation easily, by informing the public about what had happened there.

Honorable journalist, head of Telegraph Media Group, political analyst Aynur Jamalgizi told this to Axar.az during her comment on first vice president's, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva's, visit to Icheri Sheher and her explanation about the sitation. She said that the first lady's remarks are also a signal to the media:

There is a great benefit to remind Mrs.Aliyeva's this statement. The First Vice President stated openly that, "In such cases, we need to fully inform the public of all the information we have to avoid such lies. Before we start, let's introduce that such work should be done, why it should be done, how it should be done. Then everything will be fine." This is a very accurate approach. Unfortunately, in Icheri Sheher case, we did not observe this: media's appeals didn't responded, and social networks were always filled with information that was completely incompatible with the truth. On the other hand, Radical opposition groups exploited this very seriously. They were completely deceived by the public, throwing pictures taken during the restoration work in Icherisheher.

Everyone who engages in the media is aware that misinformation will be difficult to eliminate when it comes to consciousness. Thus, failure to receive inaccurate information has prompted the highest level of intervention to the speculations and Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva analyzing the reality quite clearly came to the Icheri Sheher personally and gave her recommendations. Through the shooting of television channels, we have witnessed that nothing is happening in the Icheri Sheher, as the castle walls are not destroyed, and no cafes or restaurants will be built. It was completely understood that all these rumors are far away from reality. But all this has been revealed only by the direct intervention of Mehriban Aliyeva, not by the flexible media policy of the administration."

A.Jamalgizi emphasized the importance of the immediate reaction of the organizations to the events taking place in the country and the need to be active in social networks in the current period of rapid development of the Internet and technology:

"First Lady, talked there as the voice of nation. Specifically should be noted that, it is not just about the Icheri Sheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve. We did not observe the rapid reaction of the ministry about the school event which, has taken place this month and disturbed public."

Aynur Jamalgizi said that a strange tradition has been formulated in the official organizations: all the questions that has been asked in written form, they say that it will be answered within 3 business days:

"Leading figures of the radical opposition Ali Karimli, Aslan Ismayilov, posted pictures on the social networks which have been taken over the years ago in the Icheri Sheher, and those photos and videos were watched by several million people in a short time. Informations were wrong and specially prepared against the government. It must be answered correctly that these informations are proven to be misdiagnosed immediately. But, unfortunately, the responsible party was silent on this issue, and the press service of the Icherisheher department denied the journalist's questions and even did not even let photojournalists to photograph the reality in the that area. As a result, the radical opposition has once again been given the opportunity to "storm in the glass" against the government. Of course what opposition done was a rudeness. Even if the First Vice President went to Icheri Sheher, got acquainted with the situation there, and then told the journalists, at least they could delete their photos from their pages, but they did not do it. Their behavior was immoral. But media, especially the official authorities, should know who they are facing and be prepared for that."

A.Jamalgizi said that it is important to draw lessons from the recent incident to prevent the anti-government propaganda of people by spreading misinformation:

"The arrival of Mehriban Aliyeva to Icheri Sheher and getting acquainted with what has happened has revealed the image of the official, who in fact public want to see. In fact, Mrs. Aliyeva's directly intervention and responsibility taking at a time when Mr President Ilham Aliyev was not in the country and participating in a very important international event held in China, and personally preventation of the wrong information with flexible political decisions, is an example for the governor and officials. So that, at the very beginning of this misinformation, the head of the administration could have prevented the manipulation of the radicals personally, in front of media and public."

According to the political scientist, this step of Mehriban Aliyeva also revealed her broad-based activities, her abilities to feel the society, her attitude towards people.
