NK conflict to be discussed at the OIC Summit

The 13th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will be held in Istanbul on April 10-15.

The summit on the "Unity and solidarity for justice and peace," will focus on the Palestinian issue, the situation in Syria, Yemen, Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia, Mali, Jammu and Kashmir, Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the context of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan.

The summit is expected to sign the Istanbul Declaration at the end of the event and adopt a number of resolutions that will set policy priorities for the structure on the international arena.

The first ladies of the OIC member states are to hold a special session on the sidelines of the summit on the "Leadership of First Ladies in fight against cancer in the OIC Member States".

The summit will be preceded by meetings of Foreign Ministers and senior officials of the OIC countries, who will prepare the final communiqué and the Istanbul Declaration.
