Minister of Emergency Situations Kemaleddin Heydarov on Thursday met with a delegation headed by Mr Dazhu Yang, Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Kemaleddin Heydarov noted that the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has been closely and efficiently cooperating with the IAEA since its establishment. The minister then gave thorough information about the ministry’s State Agency for Regulation of Nuclear and Radiological Activity and the activity of “Isotope” special plant, noting that a number of important projects have been successfully implemented with the IAEA.

In his turn, Dazhu Yang expressed content with the level of cooperation with the ministry, stressing the existence of huge potential to carry out new projects.

The sides exchanged their views on a number of issues of common interest.

Note that, the IAEA delegation also visited “Isotope” special plant.
