Accompanied by the head of the Armenian-Iranian interparliamentary friendship group Gevork Papoyan, members of the group Narek Babayan and Shirak Torosyan, members of the parliamentary friendship group of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex in Yerevan on December 21.

Axar.az reports that members of the delegation laid flowers at the Eternal Torch and silently commemorated the Armenian "victims of the genocide."

Mahmoud Ahmadi Bigash, a member of the National Security and Foreign Relations Commission of the Iranian Parliament, said this was his first visit to Armenia.

"Of course, I was aware of the genocide of the last century, but this time my knowledge has increased.
