Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the European Commission Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, who is visiting our country.

Issues and plans on the current cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) were discussed at the meeting.
The importance of contacts between leaders in strengthening relations in the current period, which is of particular importance for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU, was noted.
In particular, the importance of further expanding cooperation in the areas of energy security, transport routes, and renewable energy was emphasized. In addition, the importance of Azerbaijan-EU cooperation in combating environmental and climate change was noted.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed the other party in detail about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period.
Special satisfaction was expressed with the agreements reached during the historic meeting held in Washington last month. It was noted that our country, which is the initiator of the regional normalization and peace process, will continue its efforts to advance the peace agenda.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
