Pashinyan welcomes Azerbaijan’s transit decision

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the decision by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to allow cargo transit to Armenia through Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that at the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union meeting in Moscow, N. Pashinyan said that the positive dynamics observed in the region have opened new opportunities for deepening economic cooperation.

“The opening of regional communications can make a significant contribution to strengthening economic stability and expanding relations for all countries of the vast region,” he noted.

The Armenian Prime Minister emphasized that he evaluates this decision of Azerbaijan as one of the important steps towards ensuring peace and stability in the region.

It should be noted that Pashinyan expressed a similar opinion at a conference held in Berlin the other day.
