Hate rhetoric on 1915 brings no benefit to Armenia

Hate and false rhetoric regarding the events of 1915 have brought no benefit to independent Armenia. The radical opposition and the diaspora continue to incite hostility among people.

Axar.az reports that these remarks were made by Turkish expert Selenay Erva Yalçın.

According to the expert, foreign circles that fueled radical hysteria for decades around the decision on the relocation of Armenians in the Ottoman state are clearly met with misunderstanding by the international community.

The Ankara-based expert noted that in an attempt to justify their claims against Turkiye, the Armenian lobby and diaspora have begun to advance a new “thesis.” According to this thesis, allegedly, the “genocide” victims were not only Armenians, but also Greeks and Assyrians:

“In addition, steps are being taken aimed at prolonging the normalization of relations in the South Caucasus, while attention in this process is directed toward destabilizing the region and lowering the standard of living of Armenian citizens.”
