Deadline to apply for Urban Expo at WUF13 extended

The deadline for Urban Expo applications at the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), taking place in Baku from 17 to 22 May 2026, has been extended due to strong interest from potential exhibitors.

Axar.az informs that the new deadline for submitting applications is set for April 10, 2026.

The exhibition, expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors worldwide, will provide an important platform for showcasing innovative solutions in sustainable urban development.

At the Baku Olympic Stadium, the main venue of WUF13, the exhibition spans 35,000 square metres and will welcome participants from a wide range of stakeholders, including national and local governments, regional bodies, UN agencies, academic institutions, international financial institutions, civil society organizations, foundations, and private companies.

Exhibition spaces will be available in a range of formats, from smaller exhibition stands to large-scale national and city pavilions. The Urban Expo will bring together global participants around priority themes such as adequate housing, climate resilience, digital innovation, and inclusive urban development, showcasing tangible and innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges facing modern cities.

Several new initiatives will also be introduced for the first time as part of WUF13, including the Startup Pavilion for emerging ventures advancing innovative housing and urban solutions, and the WUF Academy, which will offer masterclasses and facilitate knowledge exchange.

It should be noted that participation applications are accepted online. To register, you can visit the “Urban Expo” page or contact via [email protected] . For further information, you can refer to the “Urban Expo” Guidelines.
