Azerbaijan-Turkiye joint drill begins with flag exchange

Turkiye’s Ministry of National Defense has posted video footage on social media showing the welcoming ceremony for Azerbaijani Armed Forces personnel arriving in the brotherly country to take part in the joint Heydar Aliyev-2026 exercises.

Axar.az reports that the ceremony for the Azerbaijani soldiers was held on a bridge over the Aras River.

As a sign of the strong and unbreakable friendship between Turkiye and Azerbaijan, the soldiers exchanged flags.

Following the ceremony, military vehicles crossed the Umid Bridge.
