Azerbaijan leads in evacuation efforts from Iran

From 8:00 AM on February 28 to 10:00 AM on April 4, a total of 3,297 people were evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that 572 of the evacuees are Azerbaijani citizens.

The largest groups among the evacuees are from China (730), Russia (354), and India (238). Other countries with substantial numbers include Bangladesh (198), Tajikistan (189), Pakistan (151), Iran (134), Oman (84), and Indonesia (68).

Several European and Middle Eastern countries also had citizens evacuated. These include Italy (44), Algeria (57), Spain (26), Germany (25), Canada (25), France (19), Saudi Arabia (18), Japan (18), Georgia (19), Uzbekistan (16), Poland (14), Switzerland (14), Nigeria (13), Hungary (12), Bahrain (16), Kazakhstan (13), Mexico (11), USA (13), and Belarus (11).

Smaller numbers of evacuees came from the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (10 each), as well as Brazil (9), Sudan (8), Venezuela (7), and Finland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, and the United Arab Emirates (6 each).
