President Aliyev reaffirms support for regional peace

I wish that there were no wars in the region.

Axar.az reports, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament).

President Aliyev noted that both Azerbaijan and Iran have suffered from wars in the past.

Emphasizing that Azerbaijan welcomed the end of the war with a sense of relief and satisfaction, the head of state recalled that the country had immediately issued an official statement regarding the cessation of hostilities.
