Axar.az reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this after accepting the credentials of the newly appointed President of Canada, Kevin Hamilton.

He noted that the substantive communication between Azerbaijan and Armenia started almost in December:

"Because before that, Armenia wanted to solve the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh, which was not a part of the peace agreement, and this was unacceptable."

President Ilham Aliyev stressed that this is an internal issue of Azerbaijan.

"Thus, after the termination of the separatist regime, the administrative operation has been going on for only 6 months since December. It will take time and definitely, the main conditions for peace and security is to change the constitution of Armenia. Because he has claims against existing and harmful territories. This is a well-known issue," Ilham Aliyev said.
