Taliban representative remains seated during Iran anthem

During the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference held in Tehran, while the Iranian national anthem was played and all guests stood up, the representative of the Taliban government, Aziz-al-Rahman Mansour, remained seated.

Axar.az reports that this information was provided by Iranian media.

The Taliban representative's action caused protests from Iranian officials and media, especially since the conference was attended by the Iranian president.

Hassan Kazimi Qomi, the deputy of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian for Afghan affairs, described the Taliban representative's action as a disrespect to diplomatic norms.
