The meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Abu Dhabi on July 10 can be seen as a step towards strengthening the agreement reached between the two countries on the peace agreement in March.

Axar.az reports, that this was stated by the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Stephane Dujarric, in response to the UN Secretary-General's question about his attitude to the meeting between the two leaders.

The spokesman said that Antonio Guterres is closely following the positive processes between the two countries:

"We welcome this dialogue between two countries that have experienced tension for a long time. We recall the agreement reached on the peace agreement in March, and we believe that this is a very positive development. This meeting can be seen as a step towards strengthening the agreements signed in the agreement. The Secretary-General is closely following these processes," the spokesman emphasized.
