Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan posted on his social media page about the PKK terrorists laying down their arms.

Axar.az reports that this is the first time the Turkish leader has made a statement on this matter.

"I hope that the step taken today on this path towards our goal of a Turkiye without terrorism will be a good thing. May God grant us the opportunity to achieve our goals on this path we are taking for the security of our country, the peace of our nation, and the establishment of permanent peace in our region," Erdogan said.

It should be noted that the PKK terrorist organization, which Turkiye has been fighting for 41 years, will begin to lay down its arms from today.
