Armenia is also violating its obligations under international humanitarian law by refusing to provide information about the fate of missing persons and the precise locations of mass graves from the First Karabakh War.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his address to participants of the International Baku Forum on "Climate Change and Human Rights: The Role of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions."

"Armenia must apologize for all these crimes," the president's address emphasized.

In his statement, the head of state noted that while the conflict has ended, unfortunately, the severe consequences of Armenia's thirty years of military aggression continue to pose a significant threat to people's lives and the environment:

"Armenia has polluted and poisoned our lands and rivers through ecocide, urban destruction, and cultural genocide in the territories it occupied for a long time. It has destroyed our forests, devastated our cities and villages, and buried numerous mines that threaten the right to live of the people here and cause serious harm to the environment. At the same time, our people's culturally significant heritage has been destroyed, and our religious and cultural monuments have been obliterated."
