Carpenter stresses historic chance for Azerbaijan-Armenia peace

Michael Carpenter, the U.S. President's Special Assistant and the Director for Europe on the National Security Council, stated that there are historical opportunities for signing a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia under the current conditions.

Axar.az reports that during his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, Carpenter emphasized that the U.S. supports the swift signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The guest noted that signing the peace treaty would create broad opportunities for regional cooperation and highlighted that the U.S. has firm support for advancing this process.
