Azerbaijan supports Small Island Nations in crisis

Azerbaijan demonstrates unwavering support for small island states. We have provided aid to several countries suffering from disasters, including those affected by hurricanes, earthquakes, and floods.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev expressed these views during his speech at the SIDS Summit held within the framework of COP29.

The head of state said:

"We have also assisted in food security and the preservation of cultural heritage. Many small island nations have benefited from our scholarship programs, and their citizens have studied at universities in Azerbaijan."
