On November 13, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Reno-Basso.
Axar.az reports that first, a signing ceremony was held with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and EBRD President Odile Reno-Basso for the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Agency for Water Resources of Azerbaijan, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the reconstruction of water supply and sewage systems, rainwater management systems, and the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Ganja."
During the meeting, the head of state touched upon the importance of the signed memorandum, stating that it marked the opening of a very significant chapter in the agenda of our cooperation and assessed the signing of this document as another important step in our partnership.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked Odile Reno-Basso for her participation in COP29. Highlighting the importance of the event, the head of state noted that very effective results had already been achieved here.
The President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and high level of organization, stating that COP29 was a very important event. The guest assessed the signed document as a significant event in our cooperation.
During the conversation, perspectives on joint projects between Azerbaijan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the expansion of cooperation were exchanged.
