Armenia has not submitted an official application to participate in the COP29 climate conference to be held in Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan.

"No official from Armenia has applied or registered to participate in the COP29 conference to be held in Baku," Mirzoyan said.

He did not exclude the possibility of civil society organizations applying to participate in COP29:

"If this is what the information circulating refers to, it is possible. You know that Armenia is a free, democratic country. The Armenian government has neither the desire nor the means to guide or manage civil society organizations."

It should be noted that there were reports claiming that the Armenian delegation had registered to participate in COP29.
