The first meeting of the environment and ecology ministers of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) within the framework of COP29 concluded with the signing of the "Ministerial Declaration".

Axar.az reports according to APА, as a continuation of the "Garabagh Declaration" signed at the OTS Heads of States Summit held in Shusha in July 2024, the OTS member states confirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation at the ministerial level to jointly solve environmental problems and ensure sustainable development.

The meeting exchanged views on how to address common environmental challenges, and emphasized the importance of important steps to promote sustainable development and a joint approach to addressing regional and international environmental problems.

At the same time, the OTS member states identified prospects for creating a common position and a joint action plan.

The parties expressed their intention to continue active cooperation for the sake of a sustainable and sustainable future.

The signing of the "Ministerial Declaration" on joint action by the OTS in Baku to address the planetary challenges and initiatives raised at COP29 in the field of environment and sustainable development further strengthens the international and regional leadership of Azerbaijan, which hosts COP29.

The meeting, held within the framework of COP29, was attended by the ministers of ecology and natural resources of the OTS member states - Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye, as well as the OTS Secretary General.
