Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyev, met with President of Nepal Ram Chandra Paudel during her visit to Kathmandu.
Axar.az reports that during the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva conveyed the greetings of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the President of Nepal and once again emphasized the importance of friendly relations between the two countries.
Recalling her visit to Baku during COP29, President Ram Chandra Paudel noted the importance of the history of her meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and stated that the discussions held would give impetus to the development of inter-country relations.
Leyla Aliyeva noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation plans to implement a number of projects in Nepal, and that a rehabilitation center for children in need of special care, as well as a city hospital in Kathmandu, were visited as part of the visit.
It was noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's support projects in Nepal will also cover the social and health sectors.
The meeting emphasized the importance of covering various areas of existing relations, including humanitarian and climate change issues, and sustainable development issues.
The President Ram Chandra Paudel highly appreciated the relations between Azerbaijan and Nepal, including the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and expressed gratitude for the support provided.
