China understands Pakistan's legitimate security concerns and supports Islamabad in safeguarding its sovereignty and security interests.

Axar.az reports that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said this during a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

"China is closely following the development of the current situation. The fight against terrorism is the common responsibility of all countries in the world. China always supports Pakistan in its resolute steps against terrorism," Yi said.
