A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Istanbul.
Axar.az informs the report came from the Kandilli Observatory.
It was stated that the tremor occurred in the Sea of Marmara. The earthquake was recorded at 07:18 local time, with its epicenter located at a depth of 13.6 km.
Turkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) later reported the earthquake's magnitude as 3.8.
It was noted that the epicenter of the seismic event was located 20 km south of Istanbul’s Buyukcekmece district, with a depth of 6.84 km.
No casualties or damage have been reported.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Aegean Sea.
