Zakharova: West wants ceasefire

The West insists on a 30-day ceasefire for Kyiv to restore its military potential and continue the confrontation with Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

Zakharova noted that the West had previously made the same demand:

“In 2022, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former French President Francois Hollande stated that no one planned to implement the Minsk agreements and that it was necessary to buy time for Ukraine to prepare to resolve the 'Donbas problem' by force.”
