Axar.az reports that US President Donald Trump said this in a statement to journalists at the White House.

He also said that he is considering visiting Istanbul, where the meeting will be held.

It should be noted that Putin proposed direct talks with Ukraine without any preconditions in Istanbul on May 15. Zelensky, in response, called for an immediate ceasefire and emphasized that he would go to Istanbul to meet Putin personally on May 15.
