The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan congratulated the Republic of South Africa (South Africa) on its Freedom Day.

Axar.az reports that this was shared on the social network account of the foreign policy department.

“We congratulate South Africa on its Freedom Day!” the congratulatory text reads.

It should be noted that Freedom Day, which symbolizes the fall of the apartheid regime in South Africa and the beginning of a new era, is celebrated in South Africa on April 27. On this day in 1994, general elections were held for the first time, and all citizens, regardless of race, exercised their right to vote. The holiday highlights South Africa's achievements in the fields of equality, human rights, and social justice.
