Iraq has called on Azerbaijan to open a Consulate General in the city of Erbil, located in the Kurdistan Region.

Axar.az reports, citing APА, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said this during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

Iraq’s Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity of opening an Azerbaijani consulate in Erbil: “This has been confirmed, and the consulate will be opened.”
