Hajiyev: Strong Azerbaijan-Jordan relations

Relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan are strong and deep at all levels and in all areas.

Axar.az reports that Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration, said this in an interview with the Jordanian PETRA news agency.

Hikmet Hajiyev assessed the close and continuous mutual relations between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and King Abdullah II of Jordan as the main foundation of bilateral cooperation.

The Assistant to the President also emphasized the importance of the visit of Crown Prince of the Kingdom II Al-Hussein bin Abdullah to Baku last year and his meeting with the head of state within the framework of COP29. He assessed the discussions held at the meeting as a productive and important step for advancing bilateral cooperation.

H. Hajiyev noted that both countries continue close coordination on international platforms and demonstrate a common position on issues of mutual interest, including the Palestinian issue.
