The 2024 Nobel Prize in Economics has been awarded to Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson, and James A. Robinson.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by the Nobel Committee.

The scholars received the award for their research related to national prosperity.

It is noteworthy that Daron Acemoglu is an Armenian-American economist, born in Istanbul in 1967.
