New Robotic Rehabilitation Center opens in Baku -

On November 19, the opening ceremony of the New Robotic Rehabilitation and Bone Marrow Transplantation Centers was held at the New Clinic.

Axar.az reports that the ceremony was attended by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center, and Alyona Aliyeva.

First, an introduction to the New Robotic Rehabilitation Center was held. It was noted that the New Robotic Rehabilitation Center, located on an area of ​​3,600 square meters, is one of the first centers in Azerbaijan to create a technological revolution in the field of rehabilitation.

The main goal is to restore the functional independence of patients, improve the quality of life and maximize their mobility, as well as minimize the level of disability in our country. The center provides both outpatient and inpatient treatment services.

The institution employs a total of 3 physiotherapists, 1 traumatologist, 4 neurologists, 4 emergency and urgent care doctors, 9 therapeutic physical education (MBT) instructors, 32 physiotherapists-rehabilitation specialists, 17 nurses/sisters, 2 massage nurses/sisters, and 20 junior medical staff.

The Neurotrauma Department of the Center is intended to provide inpatient treatment for citizens with head and spinal injuries, as well as rehabilitation after resuscitation from various medical institutions of the country.

In addition, the center provides robotic and classical rehabilitation services in a number of areas. In the field of neurology, the recovery process will be carried out after strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, as well as nervous system diseases.

Within the framework of orthopedic rehabilitation, restoration of movement after traumas and orthopedic surgeries will be ensured.

Pediatric and neonatological rehabilitation is aimed at early correction of movement, development and coordination disorders in children. The sports rehabilitation service aims to restore functional readiness and performance after sports injuries.

In the field of hand rehabilitation, hand surgery and the development of motor functions of the upper extremities, as well as the restoration of fine movements, will be carried out. Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation serves to increase physical endurance after diseases of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Geriatric rehabilitation is aimed at expanding mobility and improving the quality of life in elderly patients.

Oncological rehabilitation includes ensuring physical and psychological adaptation after oncological treatments. In addition, gynecological and andrological rehabilitation will be carried out with a targeted physiotherapeutic approach applied in pelvic dysfunctions, functional restoration of the pelvic floor muscles, increasing their strength and flexibility. Spinal health services are aimed at preventing and treating spinal problems.

Rehabilitation in intensive care and intensive care units provides early recovery of patients who have recovered from critical conditions, and the goal is to strengthen rehabilitation services in intensive care settings in large state hospitals in Azerbaijan.

The new Robotic Rehabilitation Center aims to strengthen its leading position in the world in both robotic and classical rehabilitation, and to transform Azerbaijan into an innovative rehabilitation center by integrating scientific and technological innovations into rehabilitation processes. Official negotiations for international accreditations in this direction have already begun.

The advantages of the center include world-class robotic locomotion and upper limb rehabilitation systems, 3D motion analysis, balance and coordination measurement technologies, artificial intelligence-based assessment and personalized rehabilitation algorithms, a multidisciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, neurologists, orthopedists, psychologists, and occupational therapists, as well as international training, certification, and scientific cooperation opportunities. With all these features, the center begins its activities as a leading institution that creates a technological revolution in the field of rehabilitation in Azerbaijan, providing both outpatient and inpatient treatment services.

It was noted that the new Robotic Rehabilitation Center will begin operating on November 20.
