Bayramov: Turkiye showed exceptional support in 44-day war

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov's statement about the 44-day war in an interview with the "Contact Line" program broadcast on Public Television has become a trend on social networks.

Axar.az reports that the minister said in the interview that he was publicly revealing a gesture made by Turkiye during the 44-day war for the first time.

He noted that at that time, Turkiye demonstrated an example of brotherhood not in words, but in deeds:

"The Azerbaijani public does not know this. I did not mention it openly. During those days, there was a message from Ankara to all Turkish embassies: "The instruction from Ankara to all Turkish foreign embassies has the same force as the instruction from Baku."

That is, this message meant that whatever instruction comes from Baku, you should carry out those instructions without checking. Of course, according to state regulations and diplomatic etiquette, we do not do this; we did not address any embassy in Turkiye directly. When we had a word, we would contact the Turkish Foreign Ministry. However, the delivery of this message was truly a fact that has not been seen in world diplomacy. And this was a manifestation of true brotherhood not in words, but in deeds."
