In 2026, the restoration and construction process is planned to begin in the villages of Shelve and Pirjahan in the Lachin region.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin region, Masim Mammadov, in a statement to journalists after the closing ceremony of the "CIS Capital of Culture - 2025".

According to him, demolition work has already begun in the Yeni Gorchu settlement: "We hope that the construction process will begin there next year as well".

Masim Mammadov noted that the design work of the new residential neighborhood, the foundation of which was laid in 2023 in the city of Lachin, has also been completed: "The construction of new residential neighborhoods is planned next year. New facilities are also expected to be put into operation in the city of Lachin".

The Special Representative noted that restoration and construction work is continuing in the village of Gulabird.
