Azerbaijan prioritizes economy and regional projects

Azerbaijan has paid special attention to the development of the economy and infrastructure since the end of the conflict with Armenia.

Axar.az reports that Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration, stated this in a statement to the "Brussels Signal" publication.

H. Hajiyev emphasized that past territorial disputes are already history, and the main priority on the agenda is large-scale projects:

"Among these projects, the Zangezur corridor is of particular importance. The road-railway line that will connect Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, and Turkiye can become an important transport hub between Europe and Asia."

According to him, Baku also proposes to expand energy cooperation with Europe. Joint projects in the field of gas supply, as well as renewable energy, are on the agenda. In addition, geological exploration opportunities for gold and rare earth elements are also being considered.

"We won the war, now let's win the peace," Hajiyev emphasized.

He noted that Azerbaijan's main goal is to ensure stability, broad development, and common prosperity in the region.
