Claims rockets launched at Gulf states from Azerbaijan denied

"In recent days, completely unfounded and false information has been circulating on certain social media platforms, alleging that rockets have been launched from the territory of Azerbaijan toward Gulf countries.

Against the backdrop of existing regional tensions, the dissemination of unverified and inaccurate information on social media serves to mislead public opinion and constitutes deliberate disinformation. We strongly condemn such attempts,” the Media Development Agency said in a statement.

Axar.az informs that “Such claims are either intentionally provocative or the result of irresponsible and baseless approaches. In modern technological conditions, determining the direction from which rockets or other aerial objects are launched is not difficult.

Countries in the region, including the Gulf states, possess advanced radar and surveillance systems that enable the accurate identification of the origin and trajectory of such objects.

We emphasize that the Republic of Azerbaijan remains committed to the principles of international law, respect for the sovereignty of states, and the preservation of regional stability. We call on all parties to rely only on verified and credible sources and to refrain from disseminating unconfirmed information.

We urge media outlets and social media users to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and responsibility when sharing information, to rely solely on official and trustworthy sources, and to avoid the spread of misleading or manipulative content,” the Agency added.
